I am Bob McCluskey, your British Sign Language Tutor, and I have years of teaching experience in BSL. We have arranged a live virtual classroom session via Zoom to teach you the Signature BSL Online Course. You will be guided step by step to complete the BSL Level 3 awarded qualification. This course is accredited by Signature and regulated by Ofqual, which is a nationally recognised qualification.
Level 3: The BSL Level 3 live Zoom class will start on 9th September 2026, every Wednesday from 9 AM to 11:30 AM. Please note that the date and time are tentative and it might be changed as per the tutor’s requirements. Any changes made, you will be notified accordingly, along with the schedule, before starting the classes.
Important Note: Please note that there will be a short interview with the assessor in order to test your eligibility to be enrolled in the Level 3 BSL. You will be expected to have the knowledge of BSL Level 1 as these are regulated qualifications.
This will be subject to a brief Zoom interview with the tutor to assess BSL skills prior to acceptance.
The assessment criteria for this Signature BSL Level 3 qualification have been derived from the UK Occupational Language Standards (Instrucus 2013) at Level 3, which involves varied language use. These standards are equivalent to those for Modern Foreign Languages at the AS and A2 levels. The qualification is at Level 3 on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (RQF), Advanced Level on the Language Ladder, and Level B2 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
