Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care Course Details

TQUK is an awarding organisation approved by Ofqual and offers RQF courses in a variety of sectors. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive an Ofqual Regulated Level 3 Adult Care certificate. Thus, you will achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care on The Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

For this work placement, you must first ensure that a member of staff with occupational competence is able to provide supervision and prepare and sign the witness testimonies to prove you have achieved the work-based learning outcomes of this course.  In addition, you will be required to participate in remote observations conducted by one of the Lead Academy Assessors.

With a nationally recognised adult care qualification, care coordinators, senior care workers, support workers, or community care workers who want to acquire competency and skills to work with adults in every setting by obtaining TQUK qualification.

  • There are no academic entry requirements for this Diploma in Adult Care Level 3 course and it is open to students of all academic backgrounds. A background knowledge of the industry will be beneficial for your learning.
  • However, you are required to have a laptop/desktop/tablet or smartphone and a good internet connection.

These observations must be completed and signed by a suitably qualified witness in your setting, as well as by yourself. The expert witness should meet the following criteria:

  • Have a working knowledge of the RQF units on which their expertise is based.
  • Be occupationally competent in their area of expertise.
  • Have either a qualification in the assessment of workplace performance or a professional work role that involves evaluating the everyday practice of staff.

Please note that to complete the workplace element of this course, learners must be   UK-based (excluding Northern Ireland).

Initial Assessment

All learners joining this qualification programme should undertake an initial assessment of skills in English, mathematics and information and communication technology (ICT). If learners join the qualification programme having already undertaken an initial assessment of their English, mathematics and ICT skills, their record of development needs and any previous action taken to address them should be reviewed and updated by Lead Academy as required. Before starting the course, you must have to complete the initial assessment in order to check your level of achievement.

This Adult Care Level 3 course is evaluated through a number of assignments that are designed to assess your knowledge and understanding. These are designed to be completed at various points in your programme, normally at the end of a module/unit.

Once you have read the course content and accessed the assignment, you can begin completing the assignments. The assessment method will be used to assess:

  • Having a manager or colleague complete a written testimony of tasks completed in a workplace
